Calculation methodology

Each fight is reviewed manually. The analyst records rounds, clean time, strikes, results, zones, distances, attributes, combinations, counterattacks, clinch, takedowns, ground actions, positions, submissions, fouls and penalties when they are visible in the recording.

Statistics are calculated from saved markers. The author and recipient of an action, the selected round and the real active time of the fight are taken into account.

Combinations are counted only while standing and are excluded from clinch and ground exchanges. Position time begins only after a confirmed control position and ends when control changes, becomes neutral, the ground exchange ends, time is stopped or the round ends.

Offense, defense, pace and technique indices are comparative analytical indicators. They depend on the recorded volume, effectiveness, damage, defensive actions and active time and are not official scores.

Clickable statistics open the corresponding video fragments. If an annotation error is confirmed, FightIQ may correct the marker and recalculate the affected indicators.
